Dear Church Family,
Sunday Live Service
We are hosting our first outdoor service since the shut-down. You are welcome to come and join us in worship at 10:00 am. We will have some folding chairs available, but we recommend that you bring your own chairs. Please bring a Bible and also be prepared for the sunny weather. You can also attend but remain in your car. If you are not staying in your car and do not struggle with mobility, we ask that you park in the flea market parking by the Bally Community Center. No childcare is available for the service. After the service, the new addition will be open to allow people to see the progress. Please bring a mask if you plan to enter the building. We are excited about gathering together in the name of Jesus.
Sunday Online Service
To watch the pre-recorded worship service, there is a link at buttervalleycc.org, or you can go directly to YouTube.com. Search “Butter Valley Community Church,” and the new video along with past messages can be found on Youtube. You may choose to subscribe to the Church’s YouTube page. Links to the services are also shared on the Butter Valley Community Church Facebook page.
We are hosting a Church Fellowship Zoom Meeting, Sunday, May 3, at 11:30 am. The link can be found on Wednesday’s email. If you would like to join but you do not receive the church email, please contact Pastor Mark or Amy Hager
Youth Group will be held on Zoom on Sunday, May 3 at 6:30 pm. Again the link is on Wednesday’s email, and we also send it to the students on Remind. If you don’t have the link, please contact Pastor Mark or Amy Hager. The youth gathered to pick up sticks on the church property this past Wednesday and eat some s’mores. We had fun being together.
We are continuing to call people to a Day of Prayer and Fasting each Wednesday. We are hosting a Church Prayer Meeting every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm.
For giving, there will be a barrell in which your envelopes can be dropped at the in person service. Online giving is available on our website at http//www.buttervalleycc.org under the drop-down menu “Resources.” You can also mail checks to the church office at BVCC, PO Box 97, Bally, PA 19503. There is a Special Benevolence Fund set up on the online giving site for giving toward needs in our church family or community. We have not been presented with any specific needs yet, but we want to be prepared if and when they occur. If there are funds that remain in the fund at the end of the crisis, we want to donate them to Christian charities or non-profit organizations that have been vital as the church responds to needs.
Fabric Face masks are again available at the church. Disposable N95 masks are also provided. You can find them under the portico in front of the entrance doors to the sanctuary. They are in a plastic bin sitting on a table. Masks will be available for the in person service.
Church Council plans to meet in person with masks and social distancing on Tuesday, May 19, at 7 pm.
Pastor Mark
